The Ride

Lifes' road is full of curves and Aidan has certainly had some challenges this year, but he is doing amazing and up for the ride. He is hardworking and determined to succeed no matter where the road leads. Live life to its fullest Aidan and enjoy the sunset and special moments along the way.

Stillness

Brooke and her family have lots of fond memories of time spent at their cottage on Keuka Lake. It is a place that Brooke enjoys relaxing and where she spends her free time journaling. It is a peaceful place to enjoy the beauty of God's creation. Stillness is movement, it gives us time to reflect and move forward. This Legacy portrait also incorporates a very special person in Brooke's life that has now passed away, her Grandfather, Thomas Yorio. The cross on her journal in this photo was a gift from Brooke to her grandfather, and when he ended up going into the hospital, he took this cross with him. They shared a special bond that is hard to explain and he is missed every day. The soft pink petals falling from heaven are a reminder to Brooke that her grandfather is always with her, and to cherish the memories they had made together. As the saying goes, "Those who touch our lives stay in our hearts forever". He would be so proud of the things she has overcome and how her faith in God has pushed her to keep going. You have a tender heart Brooke, and a sweet spirit, don't ever let these things change.

Reflections of Summer

When Kaitlyn and her mom came to me they told me they wanted a legacy portrait that was pastel tones and represented the beach and lake. I LOVE how this turned out and I titled it "Reflections of Summer" because I think it reflects the cheerful and sweet personality that Kaitlyn has and just the calmness that you feel being around her. Kaitlyn and her family enjoy the beach, but also their time spent at the lakes here in NY in the summertime. If you know Kaitlyn you know she is organized, goal orientated, empathetic and a hard worker. She is hoping to pursue a career in Engineering and will be playing D1 Lacrosse in college. I love how this portrait captures the soft beauty that we all see and love in her and how blessed we are that she is in our lives. This summer has been a summer to reflect on what is truly important in our lives and cherish the time spent together. Keep pursuing your dreams Kaitlyn and thank you for trusting me to capture this for you and your family.

Brookelyn in Brooklyn

Brookelyn’s parents both lived in Brooklyn, NY and have such special memories from their time in NYC. The Brooklyn bridge is such a beautiful landmark in the city and we tried to capture it in as many photos as possible all over the city. So of course we had to create this special portrait at sunrise on the bridge! It certainly didn’t disappoint! Brookelyn, Let the two stone arches always remind you of your parents love for you, and why they chose to name you after this special location. Remember all the fun trips you have had to the city over the years as a family.

"Reise Erinnerungen" Travel Memories

This is the title of Steffen's Legacy portrait because Steffen and his family are all about creating memories together. Steffen moved here from Germany with his family and they have been creating memories ever since. If you know this family, you know they are a ton of fun and enjoy any adventure! Steffen enjoys boating on Keuka Lake on weekends, they have traveled to countless soccer games, and many special vacation spots and they always try to include their dog Lilly when they can. The one thing that you will notice about Steffen is that he is always smiling no matter what he is doing...playing soccer, working etc. He is a joy to be around and you just feel at ease around him. He chose the top of the parking garage overlooking the city of Corning. Growing up in another country is tough when you don't get to see your grandparents and other family members, and although they are just a phone call away, it is not the same as being with them in person. Sadly, Steffen's maternal grandfather passed away a couple years ago, but Steffen was given a very special memento, his grandfathers wedding band was made into a cross and Steffen wears it around his neck. Birgit and Lutz, you have so much to be proud of and you have raised such a nice young man. Steffen, never stop smiling and enjoying life!

The Road Ahead

The Road Ahead Jake enjoys hanging out and driving with his friends and what better place than the beautiful hills around his home near Harris Hill. Mix the beauty of autumn in NY with a nice car and you get an awesome senior portrait! I would describe Jake as laid back, kind, respectful and a guy with great style. If 2020 has taught us anything it is that anything can happen, but Jake is a planner and is ready for the road ahead and nothing is going to stop him!

Reflection

We went into THE MET to shoot and ended up getting rained out of our location, but that was ok, because we created these instead! Brookelyn, I hope when you look at these you see the beauty we all see that you posses inside and out. Life is only a reflection of what we allow ourselves to see. So, I hope you see happiness, strength, determination, kindness...all characteristics of YOU!

"I want adventure in the great wide somewhere” ~Belle is the Legacy image we created for Rianne's senior image. When I met with her she told me that she loved everything Disney Princess, I KNEW we were going to create something beautiful for her!
