Choosing To Believe

CHOOSING TO BELIEVE “So much of my journey has been learning to surrender this mountain in front of me and waiting for God to move it,“ this was the inspiration for Amy’s Legacy series… Amy has stage 4 breast cancer and has undergone medical treatments since her diagnosis in March of 2018. We wanted to capture her story and create some beautiful images for her and her husband, Jason, and daughter Madigan. A cancer story is never easy to write about and yet I came away from the weekend of shooting this in the Rial’s special place, Old Forge, ADK with a smile on my face because you can’t hang out with Amy for 5 minutes and not feel uplifted, she is a true light for Christ and an encourager to so many. Some say she is strong, some say she is a warrior, but Amy would describe herself as a child of the King and her strength comes from the Lord. You have good days, you have bad days in this journey and you don’t feel strong, you often feel scared, broken, exhausted, angry and defeated. You rely on your faith and your family and friends to help you through. This song by, Leanna Crawford, is “Amy’s Song” right now and the words ring so true for her in her journey. The lyrics go like this…. Scared, oh I thought I knew scared But I’m so filled with fear I can barely move Doubt, I’ve had my share of doubt But never more than right now I’m wondering where are You Here on the edge of fall apart Somehow Your promises Find my troubled heart This is the truth I’m standing on Even when all my strength is gone You are faithful forever And I know You’ll never Let me fall Right now I’m choosing to believe Someday soon I’ll look back and see All the pain had a purpose Your plan was perfect all along This is the truth I’m standing on How blessed Amy is to have such a wonderful supportive family and circle of friends. I ask that you join me in praying daily for Amy that God will move the mountain in front of her and heal her body.
